I am going to have to still shy away from this discussion because for one, I don't compare my relationship to that of one with a dog ... and for another, I genuinely feel uncomfortable knowing some people don't trust their partners. I don't have that problem. I think trust is usually associated with insecurity. And it doesn't always have to have come from somewhere either.
