For a test shoot the model's hair should be natural. She should have a minimum of makeup and the background and lighting should be plain. A variety of poses is needed to gauge the model's face and figure from all angles.

No PS and don't hide anything.

Whether or not the model is suitable for the project can determined from the " raw " shots and then when working with the model the appropriate makeup and styling can be applied to create the " finished " product.
