They have an obligation to tell the people, because it is the people's money they are using to help with. But you don't see planes flying into Haiti with "Haiti Relief - Sponsored by the USA" painting on the side, or banners flying over tents, "Haiti Relief - This Tent Is Sponsored By The Salvation Army."
You may see their logos here or there to identify their property, but it is not to gain brownie points among the world.
The biggest givers in the world for any occasion are usually the ones you never hear about.
