So many facepalm moments in this game, and Tomlinson unfortunately was one very long facepalm moment throughout the entire game. 12 rushes for 24 yards, 3 catches for 0 yards...I think he pretty much sealed his fate. Dunno at this point if he may just want to consider bowing out gracefully and calling it a career. Give it to him enough times in the red zone and yea he'll score 12 TDs, but just was not getting yards otherwise this season. Egregious penalties (like Shaun Phillips' head butt...fucking idiot) and ridiculous miracle plays aside (like Revus's "interception" - balls fucking ends up in his lap and never touches the ground), they lost this game because they couldn't establish the run and couldn't screen-pass for shit either.
I'm going to unfortunately call it - better luck next decade for the Chargers. This was their last realistic chance in the near future I think. Rivers is great, but the talent we have everywhere but the running game is going to have to get paid to stay, meaning some of it can't stay and we'll have to grow fresh new talent again which we haven't had to do in a while.
