Then you should pay more attention, really. I wrote it, and the idea wasn't to write a tutorial about marketing, but to write a tutorial about using a tool like WP to manage marketing promo tools, and the explanation on how to achieve it is quite clear: - add code at top
- add WP tags as fit
- done
I can't even imagine hot to make it easier than that 
btw, on the topic of marketing, we've not 1 but 2 marketing graduates in-house, so believe me we know 1 or 2 things about marketing
