The movie came out in 1993 using a 3D system based on where a particular color falls in the spectrum. Warm (reds) to front, (yellow/green) midrange, and cool colors (blues) to the rear. You still get a full color spectrum in the image and don't use those funky blue/red glasses.
Mr. Spinelli passed in 2000. His son, Mitch, is running the company these days producing Acid Rain and Demolition Films.
