It was until a few days ago that I really understood the true effect of libel. It's a word often tossed around here. I was reading some thread about some supposed scammer, and thought to myself "this thread will probably make me automatically not trust this person if they hit me up to do business" despite that there is obviously two sides to the story. I didn't know either party in this case, thus had no bias but based on even a random unknown persons statements, it can effect my decision to do business with someone just because its at the back of my head. So that being said, talking smack about someone IS libel if you don't have any proof.
