If she can't take care of things on her own after three weeks she will never be able to. I liked my M-i-L and there is no way in hell I would let her stay with us for three weeks. I think she was there for a week.
I don't understand why you think you can't have sex while she is there though. Do you live in a one-room apartment? If so, she can come visit, no sleep overs.
