New Guy on Existing Site
Hi everyone-
I'm new to the biz. My business partner (in another venture) asked me to join his company. So, here I am.
Him and his wife started their main site (katie kox dot com) and had success, so they wanted to expand into a network (dirty hard drive). The first partner in the network was Janet Mason. We are opening two new sites this month as well.
We originally had our mainstream[1] content on dirtyharddrive dot com, but have since decided that it would be better to use dhd as the "network shell" site, and move all of that content into another.
My role in the company is all-around: SEO, tech, programming, marketing, etc.
So here's my first question:
1) What am I? Lemmesplain: We shoot our own content, we shoot with other talent for content trades, we have an affiliate program, we have a network of sites (some of which are managed by other groups, but ultimately fall under the umbrella of Dirty Hard Drive), and we have (or are going to have) several blogs to drive traffic.
So in order to make sure I'm using the correct lingo, I want to correctly classify myself and my company. I guess I'm a webmaster. But what about the company? Are we a content provider? studio (lol)?
Thanks!
[1] By "mainstream" I mean boy fucks girl; not sure if that's the correct term here.
