I totally believe it. Back in the day I used to go yard saling on the weekends with my friends, the wealthier the neighborhood the worse the items. This one mc mansion gated community got together and did a neighborhood yard sale and it was so bust. People just put out garbage. There was one woman that really stuck out in my mind, she was trying to sell scraps of carpet for $25 a peice! Not that people even buy carpet remnants at a garage sale, but these were real scraps- like odd cut peices that I can't imagine anyone would have any practical use for.

Yard saling was fun but ebay kinda killed it. Same with thriftin. I collect like eames era / danish mod stuff and living in FL it's a b it of a haven for it, but with ebay and such there are just too many people making a living out of it. Kinda killed it, don't have the patience anymore.
