2. The Colts were thoroughly outcoached. I give Sean Payton credit because he has balls bigger than Bellichick. Those calls he made could have destroyed his team but he owned Jim Caldwell, who didn't show much.
1. And the biggest reason why the Saints won was, the Colts' pass defense. It was absolutely atrocious. Both offenses played well but the Colts pass defense blew in every sense of the word. They are mostly responsible for this loss.
Think about it this way. The Vikings completely owned the Saints in virtually every category and needed 4 fumbles and an interception to lose. Brett Favre had 470 yards to Manning's under 300. It REALLY makes you question if Manning is even better than Favre at this point, because this was supposed to be Manning's coronation as the greatest ever. Now I'm wondering how badly the Vikings might have beaten the Colts had they made it to the Super Bowl. I bet because of this game, Favre will come back.

Me and my friend (yeah he's real) were just saying if we can get Favre back we have a good shot next year of finally cracking the Championship game. Damn I hope he comes back.
Vikes 0-4 in Champ games since 1977 when Oakland beat us in our last Super Bowl.
AND it was 1978 when the fan at Metropolitan stadium threw a bottle and hit the ref on the head against the Dallas cowboys causing the Vikes to lose the first championship game and never have luck again. (according to my friend)
AND the Super Bowl that year that Dallas went to was in.. you guessed it.. New Orleans. He says big bad luck against the Vikes from the Saints. lol
