Google.co.uk rates sites that are hosted on UK servers better than sites hosted in USA/other locations. Google.ca is the same, as are many of the other Google dot whatever sites around the world.
You could host yourpornsite.ca on a UK server and with as much seo effort it would rank the same as yourpornsite.co.uk or yourpornsite.com would.
