Lots of loops and re-used footage, lips sync w/ voices like a dubbed kung fu film, etc. In my memory it was epic, I guess our childhood imaginations just filled in the blanks.
I bought the whole series on VHS some years ago before they got released on DVD and wow, it was horrible watching them compared to what I remembered He-Man to be as a kid.

However, the He-Man series from 2002-2003 (39 episodes) is really good, complete with excellent animation.

Then, there is this rarity I don't know if anyone other than myself owns, but it's STRANGE called "The New Adventures of He-Man".
