I've always known what I wanted to do and got experience rather than going to college(plus, I read the courses and.. not to sound arrogant, but I knew most of what they were going to "teach me" and what I didn't know... I went to the book store and learned).. I don't necessarily think it's a waste generally speaking, but for me it was.. when I looked into going.
With that said, I'm very seriously considering going to get a double major in Philosophy and Arabic.. then a masters in Middle Eastern Studies... mainly for the knowledge. Or switch Philosophy to History.. I think it'd be interesting.
