I used to work with a friend of mine who is a used car dealer, one day he got the bright idea of buying a couple late-model Toyotas from Copart.
They both had fairly severe front end damage, we took them to a body shop we did business with and had them fixed up then sold them for a tidy profit.
Then the fun began,
Both cars began to have problems immediately, steering issues, electrical faults, driving noises, fluid leaks, rain leaks, handling problems, you name it, we ended up spending all the profit plus more trying to make it right.
The lesson is once you smack a car good and hard it'll never be right again.
