If they're trying to log into YOUR site with an unauthorized login, wouldn't the best choice for converting them be to send it to YOUR join page?
Just thinking out loud here...
I mean, it's my assumption that sending them to an entirely different site probably won't work out so well for the other site, cause they're targeted for you specifically.
