    I've already given him advice and It's up to him to follow It. Mind you I do know that there are several way's to build blogs and the volume way works too. I have 150+ blogs on their own domains now. Sure none of them make $1k a month or even half that but when you add It all up I'm pretty sure I make more than the average GFY blog "expert". And the green-backs Is where It's at

            31,322 uniques in September 09. Oh well, atleast over 1.1k a day combined. Not so bad for last updates 7-11 months ago

                                                Well it's not actually bad for the work done on those blogs. I've opened one blog in feb this year (micro niche) two posts no link trade or directory submit and by far made two sales

                                                            3 sales per month(as last month's stats) is about right for these 10 blogs as they sit right now.

                                                            You can't just expect to build 10 blogs and update them 15 times each in 6 months and then 1 year later expect them to make any real money.

                                                            1,1k combined on the blogs per day. 3 sales, from 31,000 uniques to the blogs. Sure I'd not be happy If my other blogs showed a sale per 10k uniques but this is another case.

                                                            Also in todays market I know people that would be happy with 1 sale per 10,000 uniques to their sites. But since this is blogs and mostly SE traffic It's not that good.

                                                                                            One issue that tends to come up is...what to focus on ONE blog versus many blogs.

                                                                                            The advantage of ONE blog--you pour your personality into it and it motivates you to entertain your readers and cultivate a loyal following.

                                                                                            Disadvantage: weak niche/category coverage--harder to attract and please those high paying niche clicks/conversions.

                                                                                            The advantage of mass blogs: setting up a fish cage in all the corners of the ocean. Even if most cages turn up empty at the end of the day, there's still so many of them that you still come out ahead. Disadvantage: splog raids on the search engines and also balancing between QUALITY and keeping content costs down.

                                                                                                I concentrate on one mega video blog and only have a handful of other mixed blogs. My mega blog feeds traffic to my little blogs. I believe in building a good foundation before setting out on creating new blogs.

                                                                                                The key to a good blog is consistency, keeping up with the latest tools, trends and giving what the surfer wants.

                                                                                                You also have to put in 15 hours a day, everyday to make some serious scratch.

                                                                                                                                                                When I started reading the thread, I was like 10 blogs isn't a big deal but was pretty impressive he is doing this manually and wanted to see how far he got. I know a blogger who makes about $8K+ monthly just posting recipes.

                                                                                                                                                                Then I scroll few pages down and see this LOL. Blogs work but you need to be consistent and post at least an original post daily.

                                                                                                                                                                I have tried mass creating blogs for ad sense $$ with scripts, they work for few months, then Google catches on.
