It could have been worse. A buddy of mine talked to a girl at a bar and offered to buy her a drink. When the drinks came she said, "Thanks for the drink, it was nice meeting you." Then went and sat back down with her boyfriend, whom she gave the drink to.
The bartender told him she had done that few time that night, using her looks to get she and her boyfriend free drinks. I guess about an hour later she was at it again and this time the bartender stepped in and stopped it, told the guy what she was doing and asked her and her boyfriend to leave before they pissed off the wrong person and got their asses kicked.
