It might not be illegal the way it was done.. I don't know the spam laws well enough, but it certainly is unethical (not immoral) to send porn spam to people unsolicited, not just to minors.
I've said it many a time and I'll keep sayin it - as an industry, we won't be left alone by the government until we stop pushing our product onto people who want nothing to do with it. You don't see your local adult video store sending out junk mail with hardcore pictures on the envelope. I do get mail from Adam and Eve in my mail box, but guess what.. there is nothing on the outside of the envelope to say that it's got porn inside. Why? Because they don't know the age of the person who is checking my mailbox, so they have no right to put explicit images on it. Why should we be any different with being responsible and just plain logical about how we go about marketing our products??
I think that's the end of my rant.....

I've been out for my birthday so I haven't had a chance to respond.
The bottom line is this. You are going to get spam emails and you will get adult spam. Even the new laws they are trying to pass don't make it illegal to send PORN in an email. Do your fucking job, watch your kids, kill the problem before it gets to them.
I have cable and if my kid changes the channel theres a good chance he'll see sex, nudity, or foul language on nut just cable but regular TV now. Should I call the TV stations bitching or should I be a parent and make sure my kids aren't exposed to it. I choose to be a parent. If my kid ever gets porn in their email guess what...........THEY'LL NEVER FUCKING SEE IT.
