Only experience I ever had with a christian children's type charity organization I later found out that the employees had been sifting through the donations and taking what they wanted first and that the overhead involved in these charities only left about 9% of donations to actually go to the charities. That's when I discovered that charity begins at home and if I see someone that needs something worse than I do I will get it for them.
