Tubes and most of the other big sites are kept alive by cam sites, and dating companies, the latter fabricate typically 50% of their profiles, if not more, so that sad saps who are sitting at home tugging their junk nightly, think they may stand a faint chance of actually hooking up with someone who doesn't look like a moose, who live "around the corner in *insert Geo IP location* here".
The whole industry is morally bankrupt.

Here is a time line for you.
In the beginning when there was a lot of money going around, the "fucking people" attitude was a lot less. Although you still had the greedy people who did shit with spyware, dialers, banged credit cards, etc... to try to make as much as they could.
As the money started to dry up the fucking of the surfers got more intense. You started seeing cross sales, hidden cross sales, cross sales on cancel pages, cross sales in the members area, member's personal info being sold, etc.
Once the surfer was fucked as much as possible to make up for more loss of revenue next was to fuck the affiliates. Change terms that screw affiliates, increase affiliate fees, cancel for no reason, cancel for "inactivity" etc...
Now the full blown cannibalism will be starting where the new way to make up for loss revenue is to sue other companies.
When money gets tight people's ethics get questioned. Some had no ethics to start with and were just greedy, if they made 10 million they would screw who ever they could to try to make 20 million. Some had ethics when it was convenient, but once money started going down they would do whatever to make it back up. A few people have kept their ethics in tact. If you still standing and haven't turned to the dark side trying to screw someone else to make you money then
