Frog I agree... There's just too many unanswered questions behind the entire thing and a lot of assumptions need to be drawn no matter what side you choose...
I can tell you that the benefit to the US Government has been immense. They've been able to seize more liberties and lock down rights of citizens with a pace unmatched in all of US history...
I love how people talk about "greedy wallstreet" all the time... Take a look at the US Gov, they are far, far, FAR more greedy than any company in history. They want to control every market, they want all your money, and they're willing to take it by force.
