I missed the first 10 minutes, turned on the tv to see the U.S. up 3-0. Quick bathroom break before I settle in and it's 4-0. Lay down on the couch, put me feet up, adjust the pillow and it's 5-0. Shake my head wondering if I'm dreaming and it's 6-0. Ugly.
Thank Brian Burke for putting together a team of young, fast, gritty, skilled players who clearly want this. Perhaps more importantly they took the best goalie, not simply the best name (ahem, Brodeur and Luongo).
They will be a huge problem for a somewhat older, slower and less gritty Canadian team (although they still have the most skill in the tournament). Basically, if the Americans out hustle the Canadians and Miller plays the way he has so far ... gold to the U.S.
