Actually, I have 6 Great Danes. 2 Solid Blue Males, A Solid Blue Female, Ash and 2 Solid Black Females.
We cropped the ears on one of the Solid blue males since we are going to be showing him. It's a very long show crop. He's been taped now for close to 2 months. Most our danes are Euro blood lines, so a little larger heads than american danes. More blocky. Ash was a goofy dane from a litter that was had when we had out Mantel Boy studded. Ash was the last of the litter and we took him just because of his personality. Right now, I'm building a new 32x16 building just for the danes and hope to have it done over the next 2 weeks. People around here call them our horses LOL.
Unfortunately, we can't let them run the full yard free, we do let then out to run 1 or 2 at a time with supervision but we also have chickens, (about 40 of them) and let me tell you, to danes they are like the greatest chew toy ever put on the planet! So, for the sake of the poor chickens they have runs. When I'm done with this latest project I hope to have about an acer of fenced off area for them.
