All these Canadian hockey victory threads and status updates are intriguing. I've seen some pretty mean-spirited ones. Sure America wanted to win, but losing isn't crushing the country either. Had the US won Canada would be in mourning. It's just Monday here.

America loves a good party. That's why when Olympic hockey and the World Cup come around we participate and enjoy, but when it's done so is the fervor over it.

It's back to the NBA season here. Spring training is underway and the NFL draft is in 6 weeks. Those are our sports. Football rules and there is no close 2nd. Hockey isn't even 4th here, NASCAR is bigger (not really sure what that says about our country or your game).

So my dear Canadian friends...we're truly very happy for you. Great game, great Olympics; congrats all the way around. But really, what's with the attitude?
