You Americans would hardly be humble would you now, we would have seen this board on fire as to how you live in the greatest country in the WORLD, the best athletes BLAH BLAH FUCKING BLAH, how you are the best at everything....

Like I wrote in my post, I'm merely intrigued by it all. I'm all about celebrating a victory and Canada absolutely deserves to boast a bit about winning. And a good-natured poke or two is warranted as well. We were all teasing each other quite a bit before the game and after the last one.
I'm not calling DH out or anything, I know him and know he's doing it all in good fun. I just happened to ask the question in his thread. I've seen some mean-spirited posts and FB updates since the game ended. I'm curious about it is all. I find poor winners more interesting than poor losers. I understand why someone gets shitty when they lose.
I've always been under the impression that Canada has a more polite demeanor than the US. I would've sooner expected this behavior from Americans to be honest, and I would have called them out on it had I seen it.
So can you answer it? Celebrating, boasting, even gloating a bit (although it's rather unattractive) I get, but what's with the "Fuck You" attitude?
