i lived there for 4 years. everything is overpriced if you're used to living in the US. quality goods are scarce unless you ebay shop and have everything delivered, paying a fortune in duties and brokerage fees. its also very cold, the oil in your car will freeze without a block heater. i used to have to remove my battery every night as it would freeze and be useless too if I didn't bring it indoors and sit it near a heater. your heating bills will be high as fuck. there is 1 black person every 1000 square miles unless you're in toronto or a bit city with islander immigrants and/or displaced africans freeing political asylum. canada is a plan "b" for them as they tried to get into the US first but got their visas held up so they're sticking it out. cars are rusty and old. there are no warranties to be upheld on anything, even if you got it in writing fuck you... there is no legal recourse. everyone drinks lakers and honey beer by the case daily from the beer store. customs will strip your car down, rip your carpet out and even remove the upholstery on your seats if you are american. even if you're a legal canadian resident like me, they know you're not native born and will fuck with you for hours at border crossings. also the money is colored brown, red, blue, and all sorts of other gay colors. there are no 1 or 2 dollar bills. cell phones are expensive. bread is expensive. lack of familiar US brands, too much englishUK influences on everything. -40 degree nights. stupid, just really stupid and large white girls. the french speaking girls are hot, petite, athletic matress monsters. and they like black dudes a lot. oh, and before i forget. there are a few native indians there that people treat like shit, which works out to my advantage. thats my canada experience, yours may vary.
