I posted this in another thread but with so much media attention, you will get all kinds of crazies out now. Just like with the Anthrax scares, people were seeing white powder everywhere and none of them panned out other than the original one.
That's why it seems as though Toyota can't fix the problem, because most of the reports coming in now are false. Some on purpose, but most because people are just like that.
Not only that, ABC did a story where the used an alternate shot of a tachometer revving up and pretended like it was a live shot while inside of a runaway car.
Toyota got a bad rap on this one.
