there is a difference between "public record" and what i'll call researched records"
public record is open to everyone at any time if you know a name and do a criminal search on a credible search site I.E. clerkcourt.org ( hamilton county cincinnati ohio) it should be open for everyone to see......
if its researched records that the majority of the public doesnt know about i.e. directnic.com/whois then it should be illegal to post that info on a forum board
in laymans terms if the vast majority of the public can find it on a goverment site their info is not secure if its on a site the vast majority cannot get to its protected
