I have seen the exact same thing. I think it has more to do with the media talking about the bad economy and this health care thing. I think it's scaring people away from spending money at the moment. It has been so bad the last couple of days that I was thinking it HAD to be a VISA or processor issue.
So last night I joined myself. Worked perfectly. So it isn't a processor or visa issue.
