Tanning beds when misused CAN PROMOTE skin cancer... cigarettes accelerate the rate at which you'll get lung cancer (my aunt died at 28 from lunch cancer, never smoked a day in her life)...
I fail to see how someone under a doctor's direction who uses a tanning bed is "stupid".
People who think taxes should be just smacked on anything because the government thinks something is better for you are stupid.
People who think someone that does something "bad for them" are stupid are just plain idiots... Think about all the activities that can be bad for you that lead to higher cost of healthcare... Surfing, skydiving, boating, white water rafting, skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, ALL SPORTS wear down your body... Are they all stupid?
Would you also like to impose a tax on people that go to the beach? Because that's way fucking worse for you than a tanning bed... what about those ON the beach should they get additional taxes too?
