. What is that supposed to mean? Why are so many people trying to be political micro-managers? Isnt that why we vote for these people so they can go to Washington do the research and make the decisions we are entrusting them to make. How can anything get done if politicians have to check CNN, FOX or some blog for "public opinions" everyday before they decide whats best for their constituents?
Do constituents always know whats best for there district. NO! if they did we wouldnt need government we could all just gather up in town halls and yell until 59% of us are left standing then we can do what those people say.
Politicians are supposed to make hard decisions that maybe contrary to what the constituents think or know will better benefit their district as a WHOLE. Thats what they are paid to do. Then every 2 or 4 years we look at what they ACCOMPLISHED not what they talked or argued about and if you dont like the end result. Vote someone else in.
You think FDR would have decided to join the war and save the world from the nazis if he listened to what 59% of Americans wanted?
