yeah most of them left, GFY was trendy for a couple of years, then it turned into what it is today - not really much here for girls, i doubt a girl like Vanilla who used to post here a lot got any meaningful affiliate traffic off GFY, girls would do fansign threads and receive almost zero traffic for their efforts. it's pretty much surfers here, very part time webmasters and some GFY addicts who don't need GFY for anything but a place to hang out. i guess for programmers, designers and traffic brokers there is some business here for them.
