I watched taken a few weeks ago when I got some spare time, of course taken into account it still is a movie so most of the stuff is made up or exaggerated it is a common fact that since the EU opened it's borders a lot of criminals from east europe moved to big cities like paris, amsterdam etc where the most income is derived from drugs and prostitutes. Kidnapping and forced prostitution would fit perfectly in their businesses i am sure.
