Unless you have some sort of video frame comparison engine working on BOTH ends (your end AND the tube site end, which I doubt because of how much cpu power this would take for each video). this will just not work. If the file is re-encoded (for instance, from the source grabbed from the members area into flv or mp4 as most tubes do) or molested in any way (even if the video is 1 byte shorter), the checksum will change.

Of course, correct me if i'm wrong here and you are not using checksums or frame comparison to do this...
What's to say a checksum isn't a summary of the video? ID 1 frame every second with certain variables (brightness / hue / highlights over a 5x5 grid of the video).

When a new video is processed / uploaded on the sites, you run a quick check against the summary checksum hash, and bingo.
