The right wing wants Republicans back in power to fix the very economy that they wrecked, but consider the following...

US Federal Debt as Percent of GDP by President

Look at that. The "small government, tight spending and good for business" Republicans seem to have a little problem living up to what they bill themselves as. No surprise. They just do the fake-out pandering for hick and Christian votes and then deliver pretty much nothing they campaigned on. When are you right wing voters going to learn?

Get a clue.

Realistically, the only way to have possibly fixed the problem in 15 months would have been to take drastic measures such as foreclosing on every American after missing 2 payments and then boot them out of the house very swiftly. As long as many Americans have mortgages they can't afford, there is going to be a domino effect.

Which brings us back to the Bush era when they should have corrected the housing program. Rarely do programs work according to the original terms. It was during Bush's run that lenders should have been regulated against giving mortgages to anyone with a pulse. Unfortunately, Republicans are highly against corporate regulation, so that wasn't going to happen.

You see, we are now witnessing those long term effects of Bush that so many crazy tinfoil hat wearing Democrats screamed about for 8 years.

You keep bashing the GOP, why? What can they do right now? Not a fucking thing. The democrats have been in power for over 3 years and spent a year in absolute power.
So please keep up with the real thinking.

I really don't like Obama, but he is starting to do some things that make sense, like opening up off shore drilling, I never would have thought a liberal would do that!
The other thing is student aid. I think this was a good move, I mean they guarantee it already anyways and these students will benefit from this. It does wipe out whole business's, that's the negative.

Oh and you might want to rethink the whole red neck thing, the tea party has doctors, lawyers, top level business people in it that are passionate about holding politicians accountable, do you have a problem with holding politicians accountable? And though they may be mainly conservative, they have in there ranks many independents and even democrats.

As for that wonderful chart you put up, see where the line dips during Clinton's time? That's when the GOP took over the house and senate in 96, so that kinda blows your theory out of the water. It wasn't the GOP, it was Bush and the rest of our government going to war. When the democrats came in, they were about as organized as a herd of cats and didn't do shit but let the US sink into the shit storm it's in now.

If we are to fix this mess, Obama as a leader needs to quit his one party leadership

He needs to get rid of NAFTA

He needs to get the troops out of 2 useless wars

and he needs to continue to get oil and natural gas from the HUGE reserves we have right here in the US and end the flow of money to the middle east and let them attack us with rocks if they want. Tell them if they attack us, we NUKE them. Once the economy is back on track to PRE war levels, then we can offer assistance to countries that need it.

You can put your tin foil hat back on now

Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that
