the problem with chroming your rims is that it makes the metal very brittle and they can break at high speeds....
So I guess the people that want to drive slowly and look cool get their rims chromed, and the people that want to drive fast and explore the performance limits of their cars, don't.
Plenty of room in the world for both types of people...
....and in the interests of disclosure, I'm the latter type of person.
