Watching the video with an open mind rather than being sucked in by the whole presentation about it being the American forces deliberately murdering reporters it is not hard to see how the helicopter crew mistook the cameras with their huge lenses for RPGs.
It is very easy to be critical afterwards when you have different info to what the helicopter crew thought they were seeing.
Sounds callous with the benefit of hindsight altering the situation but as they don't really want to die a fiery death in a burning helicopter carcass or ignore what they can see and fly away only to find out 4 soldiers in a Humvee died the same fiery death an hour later their only option was to destroy what appeared to be a group of people with 2 RPGs and seeing as one of the cameramen was poking his nose around the end of a wall in the same way that someone looking for a target would it didn't exactly help.
Carrying on and doing the van with apparent Good Samaritans is only finishing off the job once starting. Although it is easy to empathise with the man trying to crawl away needing help I think it's fucking stupid for anyone to risk their own kids by turning up with them to clear up after something like this has happened.
Hardly a complete cover-up either. Troops on the ground turn up, find wounded civillians and start getting them to a hospital. Anyone doing a proper whitewash of the situation would have had the ground troops finish off the wounded and the video destroyed.

you can see the two kids sitting in the front of the car.. if i had been trained to kill people from a helicopter, i would probably know for a fact that there was kids in that front seat.
They opened fire on that after barely making an excuse about the presence of weapons, and got the ok to fire by claiming the van was picking up bodies.
considering what the military has told the media about this incident, there is more than enough evidence here for a 'wtf' moment on what isn't being shown
the 37 minute one shows a building being hit with a hellfire missile with someone casually walking by and getting vaporized. they simply don't care
