BTW, a census taker is just a regular Joe who needed a job. They were not government workers before, and in a few months they will no longer be government workers again. Their only agenda is to get paid for doing a job - much like a mailman or a landscaper.
I know this for a fact, as I myself have applied for this position, for extra income. Didn't get the job, but as an applicant you are asked if you do, or have, worked for the government before, as that background actually disqualifies you from the position, which is temporary to begin with.
You are not allowed to report ANYTHING you see in a household either - drugs, hookers, guns...NOTHING! This is NOT Big Brother by any stretch.
