His point was that the Taliban were "freedom fighters". My point is that the Taliban ain't even remotely about freedom.

Iraq is a different deal. Saddam was a prick but he was a secular prick and the average Iraqi was a hell of a lot better off when he was running things than they are now.

Of course, we all know that no one gives a rat's ass about the average citizen in either country. These wars are about international power politics and oil in more or less equal measure.
