I don't need to read the article, I know where federal income taxes go and what they pay for. Sure the people who don't have to pay federal income taxes still get hit with other taxes, they get social security medicare taken out of their check (if they work), they may pay state taxes, pay sales taxes etc...
HOWEVER, the biggest source of revenue for the Federal govt comes from individual (federal) income tax. Which 75% of it is paid for by 10% of the population.

nice to see we spending 7x more money on interest payments than we are on education. The country keeps going into more and more debt and will need to collect more money in taxes to pay the interest on all of the loans made. And lets print more money and make the dollar worthless, yeah. The government breeds irresponsibility, from the way it spends money it doesn't have all the way down the all the free hand outs it gives to the people who should get off their ass and get a job instead of well fare.

i don't mind paying taxes. However I think everyone should. I don't think that 10% of the population should pay 75% of the taxes and a whole 40% of the population pay zero federal income taxes.
