What ever you say about the benefits of a State or Private Health Scheme the system we have in the EU covers those who are down as well as those who are up. Shudder to think what this type of cover would cost in the US.

I feel you pain Paul, as a Brit who lost his medical insurance in the USA due to a pre existing condition and a divorce i may have to fly back to the good old UK to have an operation. On the NH its free because like you i paid in for around 30 years . Here in the USA without insurance the operation will cost me $166,000.00 for just 3 days in hospital. I agree the USA is a great country but the health system sucks big time...
