Yeah it can happen, a guy I know was kept alive for 2 1/2 years in a coma. His wife refused to have the plug pulled even though the doctors were suggesting doing so. They spent all the millions of dollars they had saved up over the years because I guess his insurance capped out. One day she brought their rescue dog to the hospital. The dog licked his face and he woke up!
