In addition to the billions it sucks up in the "war against drugs", pot prohibition also imposes an unseen 'tax' on bureaucratic efficiency and law enforcement integrity, funds unnecessary deaths by making drug lords rich, etc etc.
If it does pass, I do hope they realize that much of the revenue won't come from the pot itself but from taxing the items used to GROW IT. Legalization will mean tons of homegrown stuff.
