Really? It must be stopped? Let me tell you what needs stopped. How about we stop the millions of humans slaughtered during war, genocide, or ethnic cleansing. How about we stop the millions of humans who die of starvation? How about we stop the millions of humans who are homeless? I can think of 100 other things we should stop but at least in THIS situation those things aren't killed for no reason, they will be used for food.
We really need to get our damn priorities straight.
