I've noticed first-hand an increase in really angry people. Maybe its the recession, but in the last 3 months I've had 3 encounters with some real assholes -- and I've gone years without an incident. I can't really remember the last time I've had an argument or fight with someone. I'm the kind of guy that has to look for trouble if I want it, and generally go through my days without antagonizing anyone. I commuted into NYC for 8 years without one single thing to ruin my day.
One jerk ran out of his house the other day while I was walking my dog and wanted to fight me because my dog peed on a telephone pole near his house.
Another jerk thought I wasn't going into a burger King parking lot fast enough and almost slammed into my car -- then acted like I was the asshole. When I came back to my car, there was ketchup all over the door handle. I actually saw the guy getting into his car, and if my wife wasn't with me, I would have done something to get arrested.
the other incident is even more ridiculous...
I think people getting really upset over petty shit is one of the scariest things. You just don't know what these psychos are capable of.
