Religion has always been the problem. Since it was created.
Wars, genocide, child rape, racism, murder, abuse, lies, scams..... religion is at the root of most of it. Catholic priests ass-fucking boys. Witch-burning. Saudi Arabia is beheading a guy for 'sorcery'... in PRESENT times. Not to mention those annoying fucking fantasy pushers that continuously ring my doorbell trying to sell me salvation.

Yet "the church" has a problem with gay marriage.

Tax 'em or ban 'em. If government making bad policy is really the problem, it's an easy fix. Make a policy (tax requirements) that doesn't make religion happy.
And start putting these rapist priests in prison where they belong.
