when I lived in the city, I would ignore people who would ask for money.
But there was one who ask if I had some spare work for him to do to earn some money. He would come once a week and cut grass, yard work, and help with repairs outside. He lived under a train track bridge 2 blocks away and was a alcoholic, but nice guy
