101: when you operate a business that revolves around a skill you provide; electrician, plumber, bicycle repair, mechanic etc. etc. your only commodity is the TIME you have to APPLY your skills to bring money into the business. This model is not conducive when you have more than one focus and are looking to diversify.
I'm pretty competent with my hands but I don't want to spend 14 hours a day working on small engines for peanuts...
I can illustrate just fine & thought about doing tattoos but I don't want to spend 14 hours a day dealing with people...
