This was after he provided his drivers license & SS card. This is a Natural born American citizen. Dude didn't do anything wrong. He just happened to be a trucker passing through a weigh station. I'm guessing that only showing your drivers license works as long as you aren't brown. I am aware the law isn't in effect yet but I doubt it would have made this situation any better. |
First, this was done by Immigration and Customs Enforcement... and it has happened to white Americans before. I was detained for 4 hours by my own Immigration before, that's a mild case of it.
The law doesn't start for 90 days and it covers police... which have rules. Immigration, can do anything they want and always have. Overall the article is a lame twist on things because they aren't accountable like police.
